Today the children’s food challenge was kabonas.
Most of the children really liked the taste of them and enjoyed learning about this food.
The children had another fantastic day at Kidlandlee learning all about the power of trees. They planted trees, went on a woodland walk spotting things on their way, drew their own tree champions and took part in games and activities.
These activities will go towards the Green Tree Award from Woodland Trust.
Thank you to Terri, Matthew and all the Kidland team for making such a special day.
Today the new food to try was dried papaya pieces which got the thumbs up from everyone!
Todays new food to try was fresh dates. Not a huge success but most said they liked them better in a sticky toffee pudding!
Again as part of the Climate & Conservation week the children held a Swop Shop where they brought items in and swopped with their friends.
This week as part of our Climate & Conservation week, the children went on a litter pick around Harbottle where they gathered lots of different types of litter.
Today the new food to try was smoked salmon. There were only a few who liked it but everyone gave it a try.
Today our challenge was ginger ale. It had quite a spicy kick so some of the children were not quite sure but the majority did enjoy the taste.
